2017 Sordoni Employee Excellence Award

Sordoni Construction Co. is proud to announce Project Manager Daniel Sager as the recipient of the 2017 Employee Excellence Award.

Dan started in 2008 as an Intern and even after earning his Project Manager title, he continues to extend himself beyond the call of duty, playing an integral role on his project team, facilitating corporate policy, and mentoring trainees.

The Closter Plaza Renovation is Complete

The latest renovation to Closter Plaza for EDENS is complete. The work scope includes interior demolition , demolition and shoring of the existing front façade, roof replacement, re-demising of interior space, new MEP systems, construction of a new front façade and associate site work.

The Capitol at Chelsea - The Roof Garden is Open!

The roof garden located at the top of the Capitol at Chelsea building is now open and what a view!

Sordoni was selected as Construction Manager to renovate and upgrade all of the existing amenities and common areas at the luxurious Capitol at Chelsea building located at 26th and 6th in the heart of NYC.

This extensive phased renovation includes the construction of a new and modern rooftop garden, first floor entrance lobby, multiple community lounges, fitness center and leasing office as well as the renovation of all residential corridors and the comprehensive modernization of all existing residential elevator cabs and systems.

Sordoni services include preconstruction and construction management services.


Press Release - Chilton Medical Center Fundraiser

BEDMINSTER, N.J. – May 1, 2017 – Sordoni Construction Co. (“Sordoni”) is pleased to announce its very successful 2017 Sticks & Bricks Fundraiser has raised $75,000 in support of Chilton Medical Center Foundation (“Chilton”). Sordoni’s partnership with Chilton has raised a cumulative total of over $150,000, which supports the capital needs of Atlantic Health Systems, Chilton Medical Center and its family of affiliates.

“Supporting local organizations like Chilton Medical Center Foundation, which greatly improve the lives of others and are backbones of our community, is something that is at the core of our founding and operating principles,” said Matthew T. Lorenzo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sordoni Construction Co. “Through our philanthropic initiatives we feel we can build a stronger sense of awareness and appreciation for the incredible work organizations like Chilton are doing in our own community.”

The 2017 Sticks & Bricks Fundraiser took place this past February, and brought together friends, co-workers, clients and community leaders in an evening full of entertainment, music and fun. The proceeds raised will help Chilton purchase new state-of-the art equipment, make additional renovations to its facilities and fund upcoming initiatives.

“We are tremendously grateful for all that Sordoni has done for our organization, our hospital and our patients over these past four years,” said Joan Beloff, Chief Development Officer for Chilton Medical Center Foundation. “The funds that Sordoni has raised for us have helped us achieve new heights as it relates to our treatment capabilities, and we will be forever appreciative of their generosity.”

Flying High at Nine on the Hudson!

Talk about waterfront views! Sordoni is proud to show off our work at Nine on the Hudson (Port Imperial North - Building E) , located in West New York, NJ.

Construction continues at this thirteen-level, 700,000 SF residential building consisting of 278 high-end condo units, owned by K Hovnanian Homes. The exterior façade is underway, consisting of precast panels, metal panels, architectural brick, and windows. With the sales center nearly complete, unit sales can soon transition into what will become the most beautiful building on the strip!

The future Chimney Rock Crossing retail center is set on 32 acres located on Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater NJ.

Hired by Regency Centers to construct 217,000 sf of new retail space distributed within 4 separate pads. Notable retailers include Whole Foods, The Container Store, Saks Off 5th, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta, & Cost Plus World Market.

Phase 1 is scheduled for completion the end of 2017 and as you can see, we are well on our way!
