This project encompassed renovations to the existing Fashion Center and the addition of a new 3-story, 3,800 sf atrium at the entrance. Building renovations included new escalators from the 2nd to 3rd floors, new common areas around the new and existing escalators, a new trash compactor and utility yard at the rear of the building.
Sordoni maintained multiple safe and secure public access points throughout construction so not to disrupt the retail centers daily operations.
Unforeseen conditions such as contaminated soil, higher then expected ground water tables and asbestos remediation work complicated but did not delay Sordoni’s schedule. New tenant signage, façade improvement and site upgrades were also included in the project scope. Tenants for the Fashion Center includes Bye-Bye Baby, TJ Maxx and Bed Bath and Beyond.
