Sordoni Construction Co. managed a full lab fit-out of an unoccupied space located in Pennsylvania. Located on the third floor of B75, the space is surrounded by occupied offices and labs. The fit-out required in-depth coordination and logistical planning to limit any disruptions to facility operations.
Scope of work consisted of all new electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure which included connections to existing systems beyond the lab space and in the Mechanical Penthouse area. This included some lab process piping and coordination with the owner on live systems. Minor carpentry, flooring, painting, and fire sprinkler modifications were also included. Biosafety cabinets, laboratory casework, and new BI/BO unit installation were coordinated directly with the owner and the facility’s vendors.
