Sordoni was selected as the construction manager for the “Touraine” luxury high-rise condominium project. The building is comprised of 15 floors plus three levels below grade for common amenities and retail space. This fast-track project started construction before the structural, MEP or finishes for the above grade portions were designed. The work was complicated by underpinning, tie back and vibration isolation requirements due to the proximity to adjacent structures and the subway.
The interiors included high-end finishes such as kitchens designed by Stephen Alton, wide-plank American walnut floors, custom high-gloss cabinets with chrome hardware, honed marble countertops with pure crystal white backsplash and a host of sleek appliances by Bosch® and Sub Zero®. The baths were wrapped in floor-to-ceiling tile, with Lefroy Brooks® fixtures, frameless glass-enclosed showers and separate soaking tubs.
