Sordoni Construction Hosts Professional Development Day for Saint Peter’s University Students
On October 4th , Sordoni Construction Co. and the Center for Career Engagement and Experiential Learning (CEEL) hosted a Professional Development Day for Saint Peter’s University Students. A Sordoni Initiative: Preparing Students for the Workforce The event was facilitated by Leo Kushner, Chief Financial Officer, Tim Lorenzo, HR Manager, Veronica Sager, Managing Executive, and Melissa Mendez, Project Coordinator.
The team actively participated and engaged with the students through an Interview Preparation and Resume Review workshop. Through the Professional Development Day, Sordoni Construction employees were able to advise the students on career development by sharing their professional experience and the skillsets that they believe are paramount to success in the workforce.
Overall, the event served as an opportunity for students to simulate thoughtful interviewing and receive constructive feedback regarding their resumes.
