Big Snow is the first indoor ski facility in North America and Sordoni Construction Co. was hired to manage the fit-out of over 23,000 sf retail and operational space, dubbed the “warm side”. Sordoni also assisted the “cold side” to complete their close-out in the American Dream Entertainment Retail Center.
Trades included extensive millwork, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and finishes. Several of the final finishes and products were custom-made for the space. Several cut log motifs were made of and assembled with mixed pine logs. The gondola video rooms were developed to give the illusion of traveling up a mountain and themed after Big Snow’s signature colors. Big Snow’s partner, Burton, provided snowboard blanks which were customized and etched to create the signature entry archway. The space is themed to mimic a state-of-the-art ski lodge partnered with multiple big brands in the sports industry
